John, a pastor’s kid, and Deborah, his wife of 40 years, moved to Lewis County in 1986. They have 3 children, and though they just entered the grandparent stage 6 years ago, the 6th grandchild is on the way. John served as an elder, associate pastor, and interim pastor at Boistfort Community Church from 1988 until 2005, when they moved to Napavine. They have called MVBC home for the last 14 years. John previously worked as a self-employed mechanic and has spent 23 years in the financial services industry, where he continues to this day. John has a Master of Divinity degree from Multnomah University in Portland, OR.
